Robstown Church Plant update

It is official. Church of Grace’s permanent address is 211 West Main Ave Robstown, TX 78380. I blogged on this approximately two months ago.

We had our first Sunday morning service in early November and that brought out about sixty five people. We have added a Spanish service at 8:45am and several Sunday school classes at 10:00am. Our biggest service is in English at 11:00am. We are averaging about 80 people during that time. The Lord has placed Pastor Bill Simmons of River Hills Baptist Church in my life as a partner and mentor. God knows I was looking for such a relationship.

I have much more to say about this new ministry partnership, but I'll refrain until a later post. The church property is located in the heart of Robstown. I found out the other day that it sits on the official site on which the town was founded. We plan to officially launch on Easter Sunday 2009.
