Will a "large segment" of Charismatics Follow the Anti-Christ?
“I’m now convinced that a large segment of the charismatic church will follow the anti-Christ when he shows up because they have no discernment.”
One would think that such an astonishing statement would come from the likes of Hank Hanegraaff, but it doesn't. It comes from the pen of J. Lee Grady, Editor of Charisma Magazine. That Lee Grady rightly criticizes the practices and abuses that take place within his own Charismatic circles is not new. You really need to read his article entitled The Deadly Virus of Celebrity Christianity. But that he says that a large segment of the Charismatic will follow the anti-Christ when he shows up is astonishing indeed, but then again, not really. I came from such a movement, but I always found it ironic that a movement that claims to be “spirit-filled” is seriously lacking in doctrinal (sound teaching) discernment. Isn't “spirit-filled” synonymous with being “truth-filled” since the Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of truth?
In response to the Todd Bentley circus that took place in Lakeland, FL Lee Grady says that he is “now” convinced that many charismatics will follow the anti-Christ when he comes because they utterly lack discernment. Well, welcome aboard with that sentiment, but I, along with many others, were convinced of that long ago.
Here’s a clip I saw recently and in the spirit of the Apostle Paul say to these charlatans, "The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you” (Romans 2:24).
